Global Membership Team Coordinator Duane Ball |
Hello my name is Lion Duane Ball and if you have not had a chance to meet me yet or had me out to one of your club’s meetings, I am the Global Membership Chairman for District 26 M5. Here’s a little more information about myself. I was born and raised in south Kansas City and graduated from the Center School District. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Business from Drury University in Springfield Missouri. After graduation, I took a position working for a simultaneous language interpretation and convention company based out of Washington, D.C. and traveled around the country for 10 years before finally settling back in Kansas City. I then worked for the Shawnee Mission School District helping families, staff and parents with computer and information technology problems. I am married and have two children who also recognize the importance of serving others. I taught Sunday school for 10 years, have been a Cubmaster and Scoutmaster for the last 15 years and most importantly a Lion with the Kansas City Red Bridge Lions club for 19 years and counting. I became a Lion for the simple reason that a former high school teacher asked me a question “What had I done for someone else today”. When I retired in 2021 my goal was to use my time to serve. I am busier today than when I was working and I challenge everyone to do the same. I am serving in this position to help you and your clubs and look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you better as Lions and friends. |
